Montgomery County, Maryland
Power for Peace
Representative Albert Wynn (D)
The Peace Majority Report found that from the beginning of the war through 2006, Mr. Wynn voted for peace only 52% of the time. However, his voting record for 2007 was significantly better, and he even voted against the continued funding of the war in some cases.
Mr. Wynn has usually voted against those bills that would allow torture. In June of 2006, we were pleased to see that he voted against continued funding of the School of the Americas.
Here is a chart showing some of Mr. Wynn's key votes related to Iraq and Iran in the 110th Congress (2007):
The chart shows that Rep. Wynn voted the way we hoped he would in every one of these cases. His voting record on Iraq is far better than the great majority of representatives of either party.
